Decorating by season by Shelley Ollinger
Well, the word is getting out there and I am so excited. The Universe is listening and honouring my passion. Is creative karma at work? As you may be aware, when I started my newsletter in April I included a "Mention" section to support local business and the people who have made a difference in my life...
Last month I received a request from Jon Manchester, Managing Editor of the Daily Courier to submit an article to place in Home & Style Magazine. I met Jon at last year's SPCA Gala and had a chance to tell him about my work. Ron Henderson (Imagine "Collective" Photo Studio) recently recommended my writing to him. Jon called to say he was looking for local business content and he thought my fall seasonal decorating tips would be a nice fit for the fall edition. The Home & Style article (pages 12 and 16) is titled, Decorating by season.
A week later, I received another request from Lisa Evans, Special to QMI Agency, asking for my input for an article she was writing for the Toronto Sun titled, Stage your home - to stay. She received my name through Sandi Gerrard, past president of the Canadian ReDesigners Asociation (CRDA) and owner of Feel at Home in Ontario. I have worked with Sandi in my volunteer role as Marketing Director for the CRDA. I am very honoured to have my words and photos in print and grateful to those that have mentioned and supported me.
